Any questions about private tours in the Netherlands

1. Why a private tour Holland over a group bus tour?

My private tour offers a personalized pace, a flexible itinerary, and undivided attention. Instead of waiting for 40 other people to get off a bus at Zaanse Schans or Volendam you spend your time actually seeing the Dutch windmills and countryside villages.

2. Where do the Holland private tours start and end?

I offer door-to-door service. I’ll pick you up and drop you off at your hotel in Amsterdam, your cruise ship terminal, or Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.

3. Are entrance tickets to Amsterdam museums and attractions included?

To keep my tours flexible, I typically don’t include tickets in the base price. However, I can help you pre-book “skip-the-line” tickets for places like the Van Gogh Museum or Keukenhof to ensure a seamless experience.
Tickets for Anne Frank House six weeks in advance!

4. What kind of vehicle do you use for transport?

I use a comfortable and spacious 8-seater Vivaro van. Equipped with climate control and plenty of room for luggage

5. How far in advance should I book my tour?

The Netherlands is a popular destination! Our peak seasons are like Tulip season (April) or mid-summer. I am a one-man company and recommend booking as early as possible in advance.

6. Can we customize the itinerary on the day of the tour?

Absolutely. That is the beauty of a private tour. If you fall in love with a specific village and want to stay longer, or skip a museum for a local cheese tasting, we can change our plans on the fly.

7. Is the private tour Holland suitable for children?

Yes! I love hosting families. I will adjust the tour to keep the children engaged. Age-appropriate car seats available.

8. Is the private tour Holland for people with limited mobility?

I aim to be as inclusive as possible. Most of my routes are wheelchair-accessible, though some historic cobblestone streets can be bumpy. Please let me know your needs.

9. What happens if it rains during the tour?

In the Netherlands, we say there is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing! My tours go ahead rain or shine. Alernatives can be cozy indoor spots or museum visits.

10. Can we book a tour for a large group?

While I specialize in small, intimate groups (max 7), I can certainly advise you in case of a larger group. By arranging additional guides, vehicles or a private coach.

11. When is the best time to see the tulips at Keukenhof?

The park is usually open from late March to mid-May. For the most vibrant “peak bloom,” mid-April is generally best. But nature always goes it’s own way!

12. Can we visit the windmills and a cheese farm in one day?

Definitely. A trip to the Zaanse Schans or Schermerhorn and Katwoude or Edam we can do in half a day.

13. What are the best tours outside of Amsterdam?

The countryside villages North of Amsterdam. And the royal city of The Hague and a walk in the old city centre of Delft.op

14. Can I do a tour for a Schiphol Airport layover?

Yes! If you have a layover of 5 hours or more, I can easily pick you up at the airport, show you the highlights of the Dutch countryside or Amsterdam, and get you back in time for your flight.

15. Do you allow time for lunch during full-day tours?

Of course. We can recommend everything from a quick “pannenkoek” (Dutch pancake) to a high-end lunch overlooking a canal. The choice is yours.

16. What is the cancellation policy?

I understand that travel plans can change. I offer a flexible, full refund cancellation policy.

17. What is the price and how can we pay for the private tour Holland?

The price is €85 per hour per group.
I accept both online and cash payments. You’ll receive a clear invoice and confirmation as soon as your booking is finalized.

18. Can we combine a tour with a transfer to another city (e.g., Bruges or Brussels)?

Yes! I can pick you up in Amsterdam, spend the day touring the windmills or Delta Works, and drop you off at your hotel in Bruges, Brussels, or even Paris.

19. What happens if our cruise ship is delayed or misses the port?

I will monitor your ship schedules in real-time. If your ship is delayed, I adjust our start time.
If the ship misses the port entirely, I have a full refund policy.

20. Is it worth visiting the Netherlands in the winter?

Winter is magical. The Amsterdam Light Festival, cozy “brown cafes,” and the lack of crowds at the Van Gogh Museum. If it gets cold enough, you might even see me ice skating on the canals!
